I am not a winter person. I hate cold weather, and I attribute that primarily to my tropical blood. I love summer vacation, the beach, clear blue water, warm nights and days, flip-flops, barbecues, starry nights, and almost everything else having to do with summer (the exception - bugs!). Still, I have to admit, I love winter sports.

Whether it’s football, hockey, or box lacrosse, I love it. Hell, I even like Olympic figure skating (I know, I know…), and I don’t mind basketball. I’m not sure why I love the winter sports, but I know that the end of summer isn’t so bad.

So here’s to the start of winter.
